10 November 2020, Hoofddorp, The Netherlands – Hoofddorp – Vivitek has announced a line of three new NovoTouch panels that will offer an improved All-in-One 4K display, encompassing both wireless collaborative touch and digital signage in one display. Catering for the needs of both corporate and education users, the NovoTouch EK653i, NovoTouch EK753i and the NovoTouch EK863i give users the ability to choose between corporate or education modes to ensure an experience tailored to their unique needs. Similar to its successor models, the seamless switch between Wireless Collaboration and Signage modes allow for both a touch as well as ‘non-touch’ interactive user experience during meetings, while using the signage features to display safety and company messages during any downtime. All NovoTouch continue to enjoy the full benefits that come with Vivitek’s Novo Ecosystem approach to a simple, centralised way to connect, with secure and easily integrated products. The new NovoTouch series is well suited for education and corporate applications:
- For educators, NovoTouch comes equipped with software including whiteboard, wireless presentation, screen recording, and G-Suite, all of which are essential tools to facilitate teaching and learning. In addition, further education Apps (such as Canvas, Blackboard etc.) can be installed through the built-in App Store or manually.
- For corporate users, video conferencing Apps (Zoom etc.) are available at a users fingertips. In addition, users can plug in a standard Windows OPS module to bring the familiar Windows environment (like MS Office, Skype) to NovoTouch immediately.
Users will benefit from the NovoTouch panel’s faster touch screen response, making for a more seamless experience, while the thinner annotation lines ensure improved accuracy when highlighting or writing notes. Meeting and class participants will also appreciate the latest IPS-ADS panel technology, designed to deliver brilliant image quality with an anti-glare durable surface and 178° Hyper-Viewing Angle. On top of this, the graphical user interface (GUI) is rendered at 4K resolution, delivering a crisp viewing experience. Meanwhile, hybrid meetings with on-site and remote participants are facilitated through the optimised video conferencing capabilities and enhanced audio performance - courtesy of its powerful built-in 16W x 2 speakers – to ensure all meeting participants can be heard loud and clear.
For added flexibility, the NT LiveScreen/NT LiveReceiver Screen offers duplication of the main screen over the corporate network out to several receiving screens. This feature is ideal for meetings or groups that need to be split across separate locations, like different meeting rooms, facilitating safety during Covid-19 times. The full NT software package includes mirroring, screen recording and of course NovoDS Digital Signage. Teachers and meeting hosts can also create a customised interface, which enables them to personalise their home screen.
Furthermore, the new NovoTouch EK line is right up to date, featuring the most recent system updates and they include Android 8.0 and Google G-suite, which are pre-installed. To make life easier still for users and to help them get up and running quickly, the new NovoTouch has multiple apps preloaded in the NT App store to cater to the education and corporate markets’ requirements
Connection from any device to the new NovoTouch displays can be done via the www.Launchnovo.com site – a web browser that establishes instant wireless mirroring to the NovoTouch. Additionally, the NovoConnect App & Software and the optional USB Launcher modules offer direct connection wirelessly to NovoTouch, or any other Novo Ecosystem product.
As well as end users benefiting from the new features, IT managers and installers alike will appreciate that the NovoTouch like any Novo Ecosystem device can easily integrate in the network using a dual network setting and can be managed centrally. Security is a priority with AES-256 encryption, and wireless security protocols, WEP, WAP, WAP2 to guarantee a users meeting is confidential, with options to facilitate even the highest Data Loss Prevention security standards. Further aiding installation, is NovoTouch’s built-in Novo OPS which is bundled with an 80 pin panel specified to the industry’s Intel standard, while there are increased I/O options with three HDMI-in 2.0 / 1 HDMI-Out and multiple USB2.0 and 3.0 connections. For peace of mind, world class security is ensured by secure wireless collaboration hardware and software with data protection and network security as a first priority.
