Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, 2 July 2020 – Vivitek has added two 1080p projectors to its successful Ultra Short Throw (UST) range. Both models - the DH772UST and DH773USTi – are ideal for the budget-conscious education sector. They offer the choice of the latest in interactive technology and support for 4K with an exceptionally high ROI. This makes them a practical and cost-effective alternative to flat panels in environments where a bigger screen size - like 100” - is more suitable for covering the viewing distance.
For interactive collaboration and in-class learning, the DH773USTi comes with built-in interactivity support for multi users thanks to two pens or an optional Finger Touch Unit with 10 points. For further convenience, the interactive pen can be used like a computer mouse without the complications of installing a driver (HD driver-free).
Designed with the future in mind, both models support 4K (3840x2160) video, ensuring image clarity and crispness for all viewers wherever they’re seated in the classroom. Furthermore, thanks to an upgraded laser module, the projectors are capable of delivering a class-leading performance in all ambient light environments. They are perfectly suited to classrooms of all shapes and sizes too, as both models offer a 110'' diagonal projection image from as little as 51cm away from the screen surface. Meanwhile, the projectors’ 3,500 lumens of brightness, 1080p resolution, and 10,000:1 contrast ratio ensure clear, crisp and bright projection, aiding viewing comfort further while guaranteeing a perfect image.
Teachers and lecturers will benefit from increased eye comfort; when they’re standing in front of the projected image, there’s no eye glare for them to endure, nor any shadow obstruction. Furthermore, students will benefit from greater comfort, as the projected image is based on light reflected from the projection surface, which is easier for the eye to view, particularly over a long period of time. Meanwhile, two 10W speakers and microphone input ensure that sounds and messages are communicated crisply and clearly.
With protecting the environment front of mind for all, the UST projectors successfully address that requirement, too. Their eco-friendly and energy saving features - including a sleep timer and auto-power-off functionality when there is no signal input - help to conserve energy, while contributing to lower energy costs. DH772UST & DH773USTi users can be assured of the projectors’ durability too, with up to 12,000 hours of lamp-life, while a five year education warranty brings further peace of mind both now and in the future.
Network managers will be impressed with their integrated network monitoring and management solutions including Crestron® RoomView™. Naturally, the UST projectors are compatible with NovoConnect, the wireless collaboration solution, enabling students to participate from their own digital device directly on the screen to share up to 4 devices simultaneously.
