Hoofddorp, 12 April, 2011 – Vivitek Corporation, a leading manufacturer of environmentally innovative visual display and presentation products, today announced the Vivitek D855ST, a short-throw projector designed to cater for the needs of the education market.
The D855ST enables a 77” screen image at 1-meter projection distance (0.65:1 throw ratio). This allows the teacher to stand close to the screen without incurring any shadows on the projected image. It also makes for an efficient use of space, which can be a benefit in many classrooms. The D855ST offers XGA resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio to fit most interactive whiteboards.
With the launch of this new education projector, Vivitek also launches the new 5 year Education Warranty programme, allowing purchasers acting on behalf of education establishments to increase the product warranty from the standard 3 year warranty to a 5-years product parts/labour and 3-year lamp warranty (or expected lamp life hours – whichever is first).
This 5-year product and 3-year lamp warranty is available for education establishments only and to qualify the Vivitek projector must have been purchased from an authorised Vivitek reseller on or after 1, April 2011. The improved warranty is valid only in respect of the Vivitek Education range of projectors, which includes the D855ST and the projectors listed (below).
The D855ST is 3D-ready and offers full-featured connectivity. It is suited for multimedia applications in the classroom while its unique features to support the use of multimedia and promote interaction in the classroom include a microphone connection, a 10-Watt speaker as well as audio out and the ability to present wireless through the 12-volt trigger and the optional ViviNet wireless dongle.
This projector delivers strong performance at an excellent value for money and low Total Cost of Ownership through the super long lamp life of 6000 hours and limited maintenance requirements. The D855ST is now available with the improved warranty.
Availability/Warranty
The Vivitek D855ST is available from 1st of April at a price of Euro 880 ex. VAT. Warranty is standard 3 years, 1 year lamp, but after registration of educational establishments warranty is 5 years product/labour and 3 years lamp life (or expected lifetime, whichever comes first).
