Developed to facilitate the wireless sharing of multiple devices’ screens concurrently. NovoStage enables users to present to multiple screens simultaneously on the main display. Ideal for information and idea sharing in meetings, lessons and training sessions, NovoStage drives new levels of productivity and collaboration by combining applications like Zoom and content from Windows Computers and iPads. Following a simple three-step process – Install, Connect, Show - NovoStage software is loaded to the Windows display, which can then receive content in one of four ways; via NovoConnect Software, Airplay, LauncherPlus or the Vivitek Web portal www.launchnovo.com. The multitude of connection methods allows maximum user flexibility and convenience, with no additional hardware or cables required. Being platform agnostic and providing support for all operating systems, NovoStage facilitates BYOD enabling users to connect instantly and share up to four devices and their content. Unlike competitor solutions, NovoStage works with any Windows™ 10 based device, ranging from all sizes of laptop to large format displays.
Business users of NovoStage can use it to create a collaborative meeting environment with their Windows-based flat panel displays. The current range of NovoTouch Collaborative Touch Panels can therefore also be used wirelessly using the Windows environment OPS (VKW30-i7). An alternative option for NovoStage users, is to collaborate on-the-fly by ‘carrying’ NovoStage on their laptops, enabling their laptop to serve as a collaborative environment in any location (utilizing the same WiFi network).
NovoStage is a great asset to the education sector too, as it has been engineered to be compatible with learning management software like Google G-suite or Blackboard. In study spaces, schools and universities can turn any area equipped with a display and OPS slot into a collaborative study space. In classrooms, NovoStage - along with a Windows OPS - can make displays more interactive by giving every student an opportunity to participate in a discussion by sharing their device. Outside of the business and education sector, those hosting and attending training and workshop sessions can also benefit from NovoStage. Trainers can ‘carry’ it on their laptops to a training location and enable participants to connect to NovoStage.
NovoStage also makes live hybrid workshops a reality for all. A camera on any device can be connected to NovoStage, and screen sharing participants can view the shared camera. This setup is ideal for live and hybrid seminars, workshops and virtual product demonstrations. In all user scenarios, the meeting host, teacher or trainer retains moderator control over the content that’s displayed via NovoStage.
As with all of its product lines, Vivitek prioritized data protection and network security when developing NovoStage. As NovoStage is installed on laptops and displays within a network environment, it is protected by the VPN and firewall installed by IT teams. For additional levels of security, data transmitted is encrypted using an Advanced Encryption (AES) Standard using a 256-bit key. This means that all data shared is protected from unauthorised personnel, and Vivitek’s products are compliant with the ISO 27001 international standard. Furthermore, with link sharing being a concern to many corporates, NovoStage addresses this through Vivitek’s LauncherPlus, which enables guests to present in a virtual meeting without joining a link. This keeps guests out of the corporate network, ensuring network security even during virtual meetings.
